Super Clubs. 🔊
The "Mega Clubs" here are world-class. Expect VIP tables, CO2 cannons, and international DJs. They usually peak around 2:00 AM.
V2 Tokyo
Located high up in the Tower of Vabel. It has a dress code and offers a view of the city while you dance. Very popular with tourists.
Sel Octagon
A newer, high-tech venue inside Midtown. It features a "vein authentication" system for payment and incredible sound design.
Street Safety. 🛑
Roppongi is generally safe, but it has a specific trap for tourists: The Touts. You will see men (often Nigerian or Eastern European) standing on the street corner offering "Cheap Drinks" or "Nice Girls."
The Rule
**NEVER follow a tout.** No matter how friendly they are. They lead you to unlisted bars where they may spike your drink and charge your credit card thousands of dollars.
Safe Zones
Stick to known venues, ground-floor bars, or places listed on Google Maps with many reviews. If a place is hidden on the 6th floor and you were dragged there, leave.
550+ Bottles
Agave
Specialty Bars. 🥃
If clubs aren't your scene, Roppongi has incredible hidden bars. **Agave** is a dimly lit, cave-like bar dedicated entirely to Tequila and Mezcal. It feels like a secret Mexican hideout.
Also Try:
**BrewDog Roppongi** for craft beer, or **Mogambo** if you want the classic chaotic expat shot-bar experience (bring earplugs).
Billboard Live. 🎷
For a sophisticated night out, head to the 4th floor of Tokyo Midtown. Billboard Live hosts world-famous jazz, soul, and R&B artists in a supper-club setting.
The View
The stage has a glass backdrop, so you can see the illuminated city garden behind the band while they play.
Tickets
Check the schedule online. Shows are seated and usually involve a full dinner course or cocktails.
